“We didn’t have anything for Christmas. What joy! God heard my prayers.”

Various community members being given support packages.

We are deeply encouraged by the success of the 1º Natal da União, which brought together our team, local organizations, and community members to make a difference in the Nossa Senhora de Fátima neighborhood. Through this effort, 78 families received Christmas hampers filled not only with food but also with hope and dignity during a difficult time.

The impact was palpable in the heartfelt testimonies we heard during the distribution:

• A mother, overwhelmed with emotion, shared, “We didn’t have anything for Christmas. What joy! God heard my prayers.”

• A father expressed his gratitude, saying, “My wife had asked me to at least bring home a panettone for Christmas. And now, I have so much more to offer my family.”

• An elderly woman, with tears in her eyes, said, “I’ve never received a gift in my entire life!”

These moments remind us of the profound impact even a small gesture can have during times of hardship.

Encouragement for Supporters

We are incredibly encouraged to see such meaningful community action take root and flourish. Despite the challenges our team faced—including one team member being gravely injured and a child running away—they demonstrated resilience and unwavering commitment. They not only continued with day-to-day operations but also ensured this campaign succeeded, bringing joy and support to so many families.

This campaign exemplifies the mission we strive for: working hand in hand with the community to bring light into difficult circumstances. Thank you for being part of this journey. Let’s continue to make a difference together.
